Instructions
Melt butter, honey, and molasses together in a 9x13 cake pan on the stovetop. Stir while melting so it doesn't scorch. Immediately remove from heat once butter is melted.
Stir in ground flaxseed and dried cranberries/raisins. If adding nuts, add in this step. Stir well to completely coat the cranberries and nuts.
Add the oats in 2c. increments, stirring well between each addition.
After incorporating all the oats, place pan, uncovered, in a preheated 350F oven for 30minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
Once done, leave out to cool in pan until completely cool, stirring occasionally. Do not put in a container until completely cool!
Notes
Dairy free granola can be made by substituting coconut oil for the butter.
Nuts such as slivered almonds or pecans add a wonderful, toasted flavor.
Feel free to play around with add-ins such as shredded unsweetened coconut, different kinds of seeds, nuts, or dried fruit.
